New York Rangers’ Travis Hamonic gets first start of playoffs
NEW YORK — New York Islanders goaltender Travis Hamonics started in net for the New York Ranger’s Game 3 win over the Los Angeles Kings on Friday night, the Rangers announced.
Hamonic, the AHL’s reigning AHL Player of the Week, was placed on injured reserve with a lower-body injury.
He has two points (1 goal, 2 assists) in eight games.
Rangers forward Marko Dano (illness) and goalie Henrik Lundqvist (upper body) will not play in Game 4 against the St. Louis Blues.
